We have 12 ft C pattern comet windmill, serial number is 670.
The head wheel has come loose and rotated on the shaft, I have tightened it up but I was told it would be out of balance, the mill is working again but it’s slow to start . I just tried to download the balancing comet windmills PDF but it won’t let me. Just wondering if I could get a copy of the maintenance and balancing instructions.
Thanks
Hello,
My name is Eddie Sosa and I work for the American Windmill Museum in Lubbock, TX. We purchased a 20 foot Comet as well as an 8 footer through Al Thomerson with Topper Windmill in San Angelo, TX. What I would like to know is if you can email me instructions on assembly of the windmill wheels and also the towers. I’ve separated all the main components and have a real good idea which parts go with the different size mills, but some sort of diagrams would be helpful. Any thing you could email me would greatly be appreciated. I can be reached at weld6gr@yahoo.com.
Thank you,
Eddie Sosa
